Man Slaps Taxi Driver To Coma Over Rumored Death Of PMB


A 41-year old man identified as Ushman Bukar who claimed to have hailed from Kano State has allegedly slapped a Taxi-driver to Coma at the Temple Clinic Junction Asaba, Delta State after he openly jumped into happiness that President Muhammadu Buhari had reportedly died in an online news report.

 Ushman Bukar, eyewitness said was visibly angry when the taxi driver (name withheld) brought a passenger to a newspaper stand around the Temple Clinic where the incident occurred when “free readers” including Newspapers’ buyers were struggling to catch glimpse of the News stories published in the various daily newspapers. It was gathered that the Taxi-driver, among others joined in the rumor of the president’s death and allegedly said inciting statements against the president, adding “the body of the president should be thrown into River-Niger, he is very wicked for fish and other wild animals to do justice on him”.

This, our informed source said, provoked Ushman who also was by the news stand to buy one of the daily newspapers and immediately moved into the taxi-driver with a dirty slap that instantly send him into unexpected coma. But for the intervention of some police officers at the scene it would have been bloody fight between relations of the taxi-driver who were later invited to the scene and Usman before he was rushed to a private hospital where he is currently being revived as a t the time of this report.

 Police image maker in the State, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka confirmed that the victim is receiving treatment adding that the alleged attacker had been arrested and detained for interrogation.

 Expectedly, Anti-Buhari across Delta State had since the wild spread rumor of his death, had allegedly been meeting to criticize his Anti-graft crusade at various newspapers’ joints where after reading sufficiently engage in heated argument, most times in shouting bouts. Most often, these groups of persons who believed President Buhari anti-corruption war had been targeted on oppositions, openly criticize him and alleging that his administration has nothing to write home about.

 Relation of the taxi-driver, who claimed to be Fidelis Ebemere, said; the man descended on my brother for no cogent reasons, thank God for the security agents who have arrested him, we hope that my brother will survive”.
