LeBron James Sent Off For The First Time In NBA Career

Cleveland Cavaliers forward, LeBron James was sent off from a game for the first time in his 15-year NBA career in his side’s 108-97 win over the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.

The 32-year-old who was playing in his 1,082nd career game was shown the exit in the third quarter after arguing with referee at not being awarded a foul on a drive to the rim.

“I got fouled,” said James. “I showed my frustration to the ref and he sent me to the locker room.

“I said what I had to say and I moved on but [Fitzgerald] decided I should get two [technical fouls],” added the four-time Most Valuable Player award winner.

“It is what it is. We got the win and that’s the most important.”

The Cavs were leading 93-70 and the basketball star had 21 points, 12 rebounds, six assists and five steals before his night ended prematurely.

The Cavs defeated the Heat 108-97 for their ninth consecutive victory, despite James’s exit and moved into a second-place tie with the Detroit Pistons in the Eastern Conference.
