AI “art” in few years from now

AI “art” in few years from now.

AI art has already made significant impacts in the art world and its influence is expected to grow.

One of the biggest advantage of AI is art creation is the ease and speed of its creation process. AI-generated artworks are becoming more sophisticated and their quality keeps improving.

Just about anyone can use AI to generate complex and unique patterns. AI has the potential to revolutionize the art world and expand its creative possibilities for artists and creatives.

Artificial Intelligence has already become a central theme in the society around us. Some argue that AI was already impacting our day to day lives in small ways and it grew on us even before we realized it.-starting from Google Translate and Siri to Facebook’s recent rollout of chatbot transportation system.

Can AI have a profound impact on arts and culture.

The answer could be Yes

Artificial intelligence can absolutely have a profound impact on arts and culture. In the nearest future, we will see an increasing amount of works that are created by AI. It’s possible that we might even see works created entirely by AI, just like how we now have works created entirely by humans. The reason that AI has such a great impact on arts and culture is because it allows for more creativity than ever before.

Are there are some drawbacks ? Yes, lets list a few.

The concept of Ethics in art could drastically change:  There a re ethics that has guided the scope of art long before the advent of AI. Producing art entirely through AI and publishing it without notifying or rewarding the original artists in any way is unethical. AI generators can learn from images of the original artist without seeking permission at the same time wont give credit to the artists.

Overlooking human touch and feeling: AI generated art may end up lacking the personal touch and emotional depth that comes with being created by a human artist. There is this value that traditional art brings with it, a sense of human feeling, style and emotions, this could all go away with the rise of AI art taking over traditional art.

Total dependence on technology: what happens when artists become completely reliant on technology and lose their sense of creativity. With the look of things, it only take clicking some certain buttons to describe what the artist wants to see and an art is created out of the blues. The risk of loosing their sense of originality and imagination is on the line.

AI can enhance creativity, not replace it :

Artificial intelligence will forever change the way we humans create art and even enhance it. AI art is likely to change the way people engage with and appreciate art. Moving forward, It could lead to the creation of new artistic genres that are quite different from traditional styles, and may challenge the biased notions of what makes up good “art”. Artificial intelligence may be great in providing new insights and make the creation of art work faster and easier but it cannot replace the human mind with the ability to think critically and creatively come up with truly unique and new ideas. AI main function still stands to assist.

Will the creative process of creating art change?

No doubt, the value of art still lies in its ability to express human emotions. And the creative process of producing art will keep evolving with time but it is possible that the advent of AI created art may change the creative process for artists. Some artists may begin to incorporate AI tools in their creative process , which could open up more possibilities for experimentation and exploration. Additionally, AI generated art may also disrupt the traditional art market and challenge the notion of authorship and creativity.

Only time will tell how AI art will impact the creative process and the art industry as a whole.

Is AI art really art ?

Many will argue that complete originality does not happen in traditional art because it is still a recurrence of existing styles done in the past, and not exactly new. It is fair to say that it not that different  from what Artificial

Intelligence does, so the debate on whether AI-generated art should be considered a real art is ongoing and quite

complex.

When we tend to define art , we would say “Art” is a piece of work created by human beings who use their creativity and emotions to produce something unique, and therefore a machine that doesn’t have this features cannot possibly create something that we should identify as Art.

Lets not forget that AI art simply mimics the works of existing artists  and cannot come up with something Original on the other hand, if the output is aesthetically pleasing or thought provoking or basically make you feel a certain way traditional art would, then it can be considered art regardless of its origin.

Should we be worried about the Dominance of AI art over Traditional Art?

There’s nothing to worry about although it is important to note that AI art and traditional art are two different forms of artistic expression , and both have their unique strength and weaknesses. We are aware that AI generated art produces captivating and intriguing art although not original, while traditional art allows for more personal expression and human emotion.

It’s up to us to to decide which one we prefer, so both can co-exist and not look forward to one dominating the other. Artists could see this as an opportunity to challenge themselves to create a piece more unique that can be clearly differentiated from AI generated art.
